In Seattle, I didn’t find any of these type of cookie, and as I get home, I have started to make a lot of Hungarian style food, it’s time to make my “pogácsa” too. It’s a typical Hungarian “scone” – I think, this is the right word for that. You’ll decide, after you follow the instructions. 🙂
0,5 kg wheat
15 dkg fat
2,5 dkg yeast
1 spoon salt
1 spoon sugar
2 dl milk
and 1 egg for glaze, and cheese, sesame, anything for the top.
I’ve made it in the easy way: dropped all things into a bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer, selected the dough setting, and started the machine. Then I only had to wait 1:30h, and I’ve got the dough. Started to preheat the oven to 160°C, divided dough in half, and rolled each half into a rectangle. Made some lines with a knife to the top, cutted, glazed with egg, and dropped some cheese to the top. And that’s it. I only had to wait for like 15-20 mins, and it was ready!
