DIY ideas for recycled denim – for the strings …

Hello Guys,

I still have too much recycled denim, and as I never trash any fabric, I have a lot of small scraps and strings as well… So, here are an inspirational board for the strings!

– So, one of my favorite is the braid… you can use it as a hairband, or as a belt… it’s simply cool, and easy to make (http://www.instructables.com/id/Braiding-eight-cords-into-a-flat-braid/step16/Just-end-it-all/):

– If you can crochet, you have to make this lovely denim rug. 🙂 Tutorial here: http://juststringingalong.blogspot.nl/2011/06/denim-rug-take-2.html

Fabric things – de-stash

Hello Guys,

some posts earlier I uploaded some pictures about my fabrics, and my big wish to use up all of them. I had to make some mug rugs as a claim (which are not arrived yet, so you won’t see my creations in my post), and my mom wanted to make some for her friends too… We had to figure out a lot of things, like sizes, what to put inside, and what design should we use… My mom’s first work was this:

Well.. wasn’t perfect… so she tried some other applique design:

So… I think, we finally figured out, how to make them… I’ll show you my design too – as soon as my swap partner will get it 🙂

Inspiration: reusable cans

Hello Guys,

I thought, I’ll share some ideas, what I’ve collected on my Pinterest site. Here are the ideas, what can you do with empty cans:

1. crunch them, and paint:

2. Wrap them:

… with ropes:

3. Use some washi tape:

4. Use them as candle holder (beware: it can be hot!):

6. Make an art with them… or a whole Tin Can wall:

7. Or just hang them… 🙂

… well.. what you think? 🙂
